Eddie Howe urges for consistency, talks the importance of intensity and praises Almiron

Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has said he wants pressure and intensity to be a 'consistent theme' of the Tyneside clubs’ game as he urged for consistency from the Magpies following another positive performance against Brentford.

Howe heaped praise upon his squad saying the players were ‘willing to give everything’, whilst highlighting the form of winger Miguel Almiron who he felt encapsulated this claim.

The Paraguayan netted two goals against Fulham, with another being added against the Bee’s highlighting his good run of form and confidence coming into the Premier League season.

Almiron has performed ‘brilliantly’ gleamed Howe, as he continued to stress the importance of ‘building consistency’ alongside him now adding goals to his game.

The 28-year-old now has four goals to his name this season as the Magpies soar towards European football as they sit 6th in the Premier League.

Newcastle United have now only lost one game of the ten they have played in the Premier League this season, with confidence blossoming for the Toon.

Their next two fixtures are away to Manchester United at Old Trafford and a visit of Frank Lampard’s Everton side to St James’ Park.

What are your opinions on Newcastle's start to the season?
